Vivian Lorraine Todd, 86, of Salisbury ended her earthly journey on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Atlantic General. She was born in Baltimore to the late William C.E. Green and Alice F. Hall Green.
Up until her failing health she loved Bingo and crossword puzzles. She was also an avid card player and enjoyed bird watching. One of her proudest accomplishments was obtaining her GED at the age of 65.
Left to honor her memories are her son, David L. Todd and wife Christina; her daughter, Debra C. Ditolvo and husband, Richard. She also graces the hearts of eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a "Buckaroo"; also left to miss her are numerous great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Delores Iley and Ruth Ann Welk.
She was preceded in death a month earlier by her devout husband and best friend of 65 years, Bennett Lee Todd; a daughter, Florence Stickel; and a sister, Anna Donovan. Joining in the family's loss are many friends acquired over the years as she never met a stranger that didn't become a friend.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12 p.m. at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Howard Travers will officiate. Interment will follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery Eastern Shore in Hurlock.
