JAMES (JIM) D. SMITH, 80, passed away on February 17, 2012. Jim was born in Los Angeles, CA on June 13, 1931 and was raised in Reno, NV. After graduation from school, he joined the U. S. Navy, while stationed in New Orleans, he met and married Peg, his wife of 59 years. Upon discharge from the Navy, Jim attended John McCardy Art School in New Orleans and worked as a techical illustrator in Texas and Florida. He retired in 1997 from the Dept. of the Navy, Naval Warfare Center in Orlando as a Visual Information Specialist. Survivors include wife, Peg; son, Kevin(Terri); daughter, Kim (Ron) and four precious grandchildren, Lindsay, Colin, Ryan and Jordyn and one sister, Marge Sevenson of Provo, Utah. In lieu of flowers. donations may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, Pine Castle.
