Mary Pat Smyth

Smyth, Mary Pat, 79 – of Cape May Court House passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Born in East Taunton, MA to Lawrence and Ellen Scanlon, she later served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy where she met and married the love of her life, James E. Smyth. They were married 55 years. She then worked as an RN for various county nursing homes for 40 years and was the co-owner of Whispering Woods Motel.

She is survived by her husband James E. Smyth; children: James (Christine), Kevin (Patricia), and Francis (Debbie); grandchildren: Sarah, Samantha, Melissa, Rebeccah, and Frank Jr.; great grandchild Riley; and her brother Lawrence Scanlon of Taunton, MA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of The Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic St., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210 and from 10 to 11 on Friday at the Church.
