Survived by Mary King; children, Monica (Paul) Peterson, James, Patrick (Cynthia), Timothy (Kathleen), Jane (Paul) Sanderson and John; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Austin and his family were musically talented and he played saxophone in a local band. During WWII, he served in the South Pacific. Austin joined the St. Paul Police Department in 1948, retiring in 1988. Visitation Monday 4-8 p.m. at BRADSHAW, 1078 Rice St. at Magnolia. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10 a.m. at the CHURCH OF ST JOHN THE EVANGELIST OF LITTLE CANADA 380 E. Little Canada Road. Interment, St. John’s Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Minnesota Friends of Orphans, 70 E. Co. Rd. C., Little Canada, 55117.
