David Alan Norwood

Piedmont – David Alan Norwood, 51, husband of Brenda Faye Roper Norwood, of Piedmont, passed from this life on Friday, April 13, 2012.

David was born in Madison, IN, a son of Thelma Louise Howard Norwood and the late Aubrey C. Norwood. He was a retired painter.

Survivors include his wife Brenda, of the home, sons Robert Buddy Kellett (Sabrina) of Easley, and Allen A. Norwood (Heather) of Fayetteville, NC and a daughter Adicia Creel (Timothy) of Piedmont and grandchildren Gavin Bryson Kellett, Hannah Grace Kellett, and Keegan Creel. Also surviving is a brother Curtis Norwood (Cindy) of Travelers Rest and sisters Debra Godfrey of Liberty, Karen Swan (Ansel) of Greenville, and Jane Bently of Simpsonville. David is also survived by his devoted dog Jasper.

In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray Norwood and brother-in-law Mike Bently.

A memorial service will be held 4 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with the Reverend Lewis Edwards officiating.
