Augusta Mae Morgan, 93, passed away on April 17, 2012 at her residence in Sturgis, MS. She was a retired Dietician for Starkville Manor and a member of Morgan Chapel Baptist Church. She dedicated her life to her family and her church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, A. B. Daniel and Mary Bell Martin Daniel; and husband, Sam Pole Morgan.
She is survived by her daughters, Libby Harrison of New Albany, MS, Jima Johnson (Howard) of Murphy, TX, Patsy Morgan of Tampa, FL, Emily Harrington (Bubba) of Sturgis, MS, Starr Morgan of Starkville, MS, Jamie Lewis (Ted) of Sturgis, MS and Alycia Lott of Sturgis, MS; sons, Robert Morgan (Cathy) of Vicksburg, MS, Kenny Morgan (Lynn) of Starkville, MS Sam Morgan (Brenda) of Jackson, MS and Charlie Morgan (Pam) of Starkville, MS; sister-in-law, Charlsie Bixler of Sturgis, MS; 24 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Morgan is scheduled for Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church in Sturgis, MS. Rev. Ralph Windle will conduct the service. Burial will be in Morgan Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her 12 grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial donations may be made to the Baptist Children's Village in Jackson, MS or to Morgan Chapel Baptist Church.
