Candace Lynn Henderson, 40, of Roscommon, passed away at Grayling Mercy Hospital on Thursday April 19, 2012. Candy was born on May 9, 1971 at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base to Michael A. and Linda Lou (Doolin) Cota Sr. Candy grew up in the Detroit area graduating from Wayne Schools. She received her Registered Nursing degree from Kirtland Community College. Candy had worked at Hilltop Manor Health Care Center in Roscommon, Grayling Mercy Hospital, and Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Surviving Ms. Henderson are; the children's father, Scott Henderson of Roscommon; daughter, Aubrey of Roscommon; two sons, Brendan and Scott of Roscommon; parents, Michael and Linda Cota of Roscommon; maternal grandfather, Jeff Doolin of Utica; brother, Michael A Cota Jr. of Traverse City; niece, Megan of Traverse City; nephew, Cameron of Traverse City; and several aunts , uncles, and cousins. Memorial services for Ms. Candace Lynn Henderson will be conducted 12:00PM Wednesday April 25, 2012 at Houghton Lake Church of Christ, 1028 South Loxley Road, Houghton Lake, with Mr. Don Wray, officiating.
