Dorothy Ard Fogg passed from this earth into the hands of our Lord Thursday, May 10, 2012 at The Guest House in Baton Rouge with her son and daughter at her side. A former resident of Montpelier and Baton Rouge, she resided in Denham Springs for many years and at the Guest House in Baton Rouge for the last fourteen months. She was born in Amite on July 31, 1928 to Edgar James and Ruth Melton Ard. She attended Pine Grove High School and studied at Southeaster Louisiana College. Although she belonged to social organizations, sold real estate for a while, volunteered as a "candy striper" at a local hospital, and owned and operated a clothing store with her daughter, her calling and lifelong career was that of a loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman D. Fogg, brother Jerry Ard and his wife Mary Mouch Ard, and sister Billie Ard Love and her husband Dr. John Love. She is survived by her son, Judge Kenneth J. Fogg and his wife Lynn Meyers Fogg, and daughter, Vikki Fogg Kilshaw and her husband James O. Kilshaw; grandchildren Kevin Fogg and wife Jessica, Kelly Fogg Regueira and her husband Ivan Regueira, Kori Fogg Juban and her husband Dr. Michael Juban, Kennan Rutland Bruser and her husband Jonathan Bruser, Kaci Kilshaw and fiancé' Justin Killingsworth, and Kody Kilshaw and his fiancé' Shelby Smith; great grandchildren Jacob, Annaleigh and Adeline Bruser; Anabella and Gabriel Regueira; and Riley and Charlie Juban; brothers Lamond Ard and his wife Maxine, and Lynn Ard and his wife Ginnie; sisters Mary Rose Story, Yvonne Manchester and husband Reverend W.S. Manchester, Bonnie Nell Ard, Sue Griffin and husband Rodney Griffin, and Sandy Finch. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, cousin and two very special loyal and devoted friends. Mary Varnado, Sunday School Teacher, and Mrs. Elsie Sutton who served as her guardian angel. Visitation will be held at her church home, First Baptist Church of Denham Springs, Monday, May 14 beginning at eight a.m. and will continue until the eleven a.m. service conducted by Reverend Leo Miller.
