I just want to share my condolences to the family. I did not know Kay or his family personally, but I jus wanted to express my deepest sympathy to the Mortensen family. After hearing of this tragic circumstance, my heart just sank with hurt and anger on how anyone could so such a heartless, gut wrenching act.
You are, and will be in my prayers and I pray for the family to have the strength to get through this difficult time.

Kay you will be forever missed by our family. We know that things dont always make sense but we promise to be here for your family just like your family was here for us when our Mom, Lois, passed away. Thank you for all your love and kindness.

I have wonderful memories as a young boy when my family would go snowmobiling with Dr. Mortensen and his son. Years later he was the Professor in one of my Mechanical Engineering classes. He was a great teacher and a terrific human being. My deepest condolences to his family.
