Heartfelt sympathies to the Brennan family from the Baynes family. Phil and my mother shared so much during their commute to Williamson in their early days of teaching - now they can continue their stories! As the family's babysitter and a neighbor I saw Mr. Brennan in a different role and it, too, was impressive. Mr Brennan was an incredible teacher. Mr Correll was right. He could teach students to go beyond what they envisioned they were capable of. He made math teachers ........... I wonder how many. His students often became fearless of math. I saw it when I was in his class. When I was there, he had no, I mean no, class management issues ...... there was too much respect in the room. He also taught you the value of process and careful scrutiny of your work.

Loved Mr. Brennan as a math teacher and Mrs. Brennan as an art teacher. They were also wonderful neighbors and customers. Dawn Burke Wittman

Phil -

Sorry for your loss. Wishing you peace at this time. I enjoyed your dad's teaching enthusiasm at Mansfield High School. Many students passed math because of him!

One assumes that he will receive many accolades and the family will receive many condolences. Each would be deserved; a wonderful man; a GREAT math teacher, and likely a cherished husband and father.

May he rest in peace.

A cherished man, a great teacher to those who wanted to learn. He had the touch to make you think beyond what you were capable of doing. Condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
