I cannot believe its been over a year already since John left us. I miss our conversations at church. He was one of the few ppl who I felt understood me. He was honest and direct. Miss that guy. Still cry about his sudden and unexpected departure. My last memory of him is when I had to leave sacrament meeting for a moment and returned to find him sitting in my seat next to my husband. I spent the rest

I remembered Doug Samuels from when I was hired at SCCU and he treated our group to lunch at Long Horn Steakhouse. He was a very nice man and always had such interesting things to say and talk about. He was very inspiring and made us all feel special. And he was always a joy to listen to at our monthly meetings. I'm just so sad that I wasn't aware sooner so that I could have gone to his memorial

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Doug Samuels. I was an employee of Space Coast Credit Union for 15 years and as noted he made a note to know our names and faces.. He was an awesome leader and a humble man who walked with humbleness and meekness, and a humble quietness about him. May you take comfort in knowing to be absent from the body is to be present with Lord.. Praying for the Lord to strengthen your hearts

Elisabeth and I were stunned and saddened to learn of Doug's passing. I will truly miss him.
Doug had the ability to make me laugh uncontrollably, often to my embarrassment. I had undergone surgery to remove a tumor from my throats and Doug came to the hospital to check on me. He had me in - and almost out of my - stitches.
Although we didn't get together as often as we'd like, I so enjoyed our yearly chats, and catching up on our families.
God bless you, Linda, and all the children.
Brian and Elisabeth Shaver

It was my pleasure to have had numerous interactions with Mr.Samuels while in the employ of SCCU from 2000-2013. Found him a warm, genuine individual. Grateful for the way he made me feel.....A really good guy and a gentleman. To the Samuels family: may the Lord bless and keep you; may he make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. Sincerely yours, Richard Hines, New Smyrna Beach, FL

I was very sad to learn that Doug's wonderful energy wouldn't be here to teach and be a mentor to others. 25+ years ago I was a so fortunate to meet the young Samuel's Family, and I will be forever grateful to how special you all were to helping my family and I adjust to our life changes that we were experiencing then. I have always had a special place in my heart for all of you. May you have peace knowing where he will be waiting. My condolences.<br />
