My dear friend Carol, ¿Qué puedo decir? What can I say? It should not have been your time. From our get-togethers in H.S. to our shared time in Spain (yes, it's true she wanted to get back to you Bill, so she only stayed 1/2 year) the memories are fabulous. Meeting your wonderful Spanish friends, our excursion to Chinchón, apple picking in NY, NYC visit from España, connecting me with the Argentine news reporter for my classes... And it was

Our dear friends, we are truly heart- broken over the passing of Carol. Cannot imagine this world without her in it... Earth has lost a beautiful soul, but truly , Heaven has gained one. Be as beautiful there as you were here and know that we will see you again someday, sweet friend. We will try to carry on your legacy of strength and compassion for those we love and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His loving hand. Love, Rick and Becky Stauffer, Bridget, Erin , and Tim and families.

Dear Bill,

Ed and I just recently met Carol.. I met her at the MA bridal shower for Laura and Steve and than Ed and I had the pleasure of sharing in the joy as Laura and Steve were married.

Her courage and positive attitude was inspirational. Thinking of you at this most difficult time.... it is obvious that you and Carol were a true team. We can only imagine your sadness. Please stay strong.

Sending our deepest condolences to you you and all your family.

I met Carol shortly after my son's passing. We sat and talked about my son and treatments they both shared. She was extremely brave but also caring at the same time with us both suffering in our own way. She was extremely pleasant and I am saddened to hear of her passing. Bill, I am extremely grateful to you for our conversations at school when you are subbing and inviting me for that dinner at your house. I hope to

Three of my children had Carol for Spanish, and to this day they remember her as one of the best and most memorable teachers they've ever had.

I vividly remember my daughter Cheryl telling me a story about what happened in Spanish class. She was still hysterical as she tried to relate it to me. Carol was teaching vocabulary using flashcards. As she dropped the "raton" flashcard on the floor, she jumped on a chair, reacting as most of us would

We had the pleasure and priviledge of welcoming Carol, a very special lady, to our home when she first arrived in Spain in the 70s. Over the years and the distance, we have always felt her warmth, joy of life and great love for her family. Carol added a spark of happiness to the lives of all who knew her. We send our sincere condolences to you, Bill, and all her family.

So long it took us to get to know each other. In the matter of a year, we bonded as never before with anyone. I grew to love her as more than one of my own. Being with her was like being in the presence of my brother-her father, Peter Sagnelli. To you , Bill, and to all of Carol's children and grandchildren, I cry with you at her loss.
