He was one of my all-time favorite teachers. He was approachable and treated us like adults. I am so sorry for your loss and grateful I was one of his students. He just met my son a few weeks ago at Okemos (so glad about that) Kathleen O'Leary Michael.

Fred was such a good friend. He and my husband met in high school and Fred was an altar server at our wedding in December of 1963. Fred and my best friend (since age five), Kathy Lawler, actually met at our wedding and about six years later they married. Our daughter was a part of that wedding party! We have so many memories of this couple down through the years. Our children and me would often visit them when they

Our prayers for your family. Please know that Mr. Partlows legacy continues on in our family. Our children collect snow globes (as he did from the students at Lansing Catholic) and have received them from their teachers. Both of them also study Latin at their respective schools. An enthusiastic, dedicated teacher who respects their students intellect is a true gift to their community and we were so sorry to hear that we lost one of the best.

I and my family were saddened to hear of Fred's passing. It is impossible to value and evaluate the many contributions that Fred made to not just Lansing but the influence he had around the world. I was blessed to know him since junior high when my father taught him at Otto. He taught my sons Leo and Joe and my daughter Katie at Lansing Catholic. My sister Mary Anne Rodgers Bailey and my nephew Matthew Tuell

How can one honor a man whose career as a teacher is defined by the intensity with which he devoted his heart and soul? After decades, how can his students articulate the power of his personality in that classroom so many years ago? Even for those of us who now teach, how can we possibly emulate him enough to show our gratitude for him, for what he gave us, for what we learned from him? The very essence of what
