My condolences to the Groot family. I have fond memories of Scott going way back to grade school and into early adulthood. Looking back on those days long ago it always struck me that he was the epitome of the all American boy and I am sure he carried those characteristics throughout adulthood. So sorry.

Karen and family: Jim and I are so sad to hear of Scott's passing. Truly a shining star has found his way to heaven. I doubt if Scott knew how much he was loved and respected by everyone that knew him! Many fond memories from Allstate trips and functions during the time you all were here in Indy. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Karen, Debbie informed me of Scott's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Just the other day, my husband was talking about a time when at a BBQ at the Fasicks, he, Bob and Scott played football against your son and his friends and the older guys won!!! Continued prayers for you and your family during this difficult time.

I'm sadden to learn of Scott's passing. Scott was one of the best Guys I've had the pleasure of knowing and working with. I always enjoyed Scott's wisdom, intelligence and the after hour cocktails. You will be missed by many my Friend RIP. Prayers to the Groot family.

I was new to Buffalo Grove as a sophomore. Scott was the popular guy, great in sports, but was always friendly and kind to me. Scott made a difficult transition easier and I've always remembered him fondly for that.
So sorry for your loss.
