Anita was a fantastic individual who was thoughtful and inquisitive. I enjoyed talking with her about environmental issues and water quality over the years! She was a fantastic reporter and her presence within the community will be missed but remembered fondly.

Anita was a watchdog for the public good. I dealt with her as a lawyer and as member of a public body and always found her to be fair, honest and kind. She was passionate about the truth and would ask the tough questions. She was uncompromising in her quest for the truth. Her presence at a public meeting caused politicians to follow the letter of the law. She will truly be missed I can imagine her now questioning St Peter at the pearly gates! Gene Connell

Anita exemplified the very best in journalism. She was tenacious, available and attuned to the needs of the community. I am writing on behalf of a grassroots community organization, SODA (Stop Offshore Drilling in the Atlantic). Anita helped us tell our story. She will be missed!
