In 1990 I was having family problems and was going to resign from Wards Cove because I couldn't commit to going to Alaska. I went to talk to Alex about it and he asked me to hold off for a few weeks. He later asked me to join the Seattle accounting department and I worked at Wards Cove for another 21 years. He was a great boss and an even greater man.

I worked 15 years as manager for a company that Alec Brindle was the President of and his family had ownership of. Alec was a fine gentlemen, that always treated fairly. The success of the Ward Cove Packing was so very important to harvesters , processors, support sector business and communities across Alaska. Thank you Alec for all that you accomplished in your life which was so important to the Alaska Seafood industry, and the people of Alaska. God Bless and Rest in Peace
