Her only desire as an emergency radio operator and supervisor was to take care of the officers on the road and make sure they all made it home safely.

From the time I walked in the door till the time I left, Mary Jo was known as the force to drive the dispatch center. Her drive and determination was exemplary, her care and concern for dispatchers, officers and staff were legendary and her willingness to teach her craft and life lessons, to those who wanted to learn, never ending. The honor and blessing was mine to have worked with her. My thanks to her for watching over us all...I miss her.

To the family of Mary Jo, I had the pleasure of knowing her through our Law Enforcement days. Our region 7 will not be the same. Know you all ate in our thoughts and prayers.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

I am so very thankful that I was in town and able to visit with Mary Jo a little over a week ago. I got to hear that laugh and see her smile and I have that burned in my memory. She had a huge heart and tremendous faith, even when pushed to the limits. May her family find comfort in the memories they share and always, always remember that laugh. God bless you, Mary Jo. You are no longer hurting.
