Ms. LeCain was my absolute favorite teacher in the 9th grade at Valdese Junior High. Ms. LeCain had a fantastic outlook on everything, challenged me to think outside the box and how to look at life with a sense of humor. My spirit is saddened that I know she is gone, but her immortality lives in the hearts of those she taught, touched and enlightened. Thank you for sharing your life with us Ms. LeCain, if only for a moment.

Lisa and Eric, seems like another universe ago since you were my students in band. I am sure this has been a really difficult week. I always thought your mother was such an interesting person, and yet when I read her obituary, I realized that I hardly knew her at all. What a great life! She experienced so much. I hope you will find solace in that. May God grant you his peace today and in the days to come, and may the good memories with your mother be a blessing to you.

Lisa and Eric, I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mother was an Inspiration in my life from art class at Rutherford College through East Burke. We certainly lost a wonderful and talented individual. I will always remember spending Christmas of 1975 in Acapulco. Many happy thoughts and prayers for both of you in this sad time. Tim Icard

To the family,
I am sure you will have great anecdotes of Mrs. LeCain; she was an inspiring person, colorful teacher, and ingenious soul to whom those of us who were her students could look up to though she was small in stature.
She was so much fun in the drama at From this Day Forward. She always had a moment to help those of us new to the story gain perspective. Although given permission, I could not call her
