a very honest and patriotic American. He was an extremely perceptive journalist and sought the truth in the news stories of his day. I heard him speak at Notre Dame at a commencement and he was inspiring in his philosphy and in the way he led his life.

I will always remember Tim Russert. He just seemed like a really great guy.. Honest in what he said and did and a good family man . You could tell he was crazy about Luke , his son .I hope his family is doing OK and it's great to see Luke beginning to follow in his dads foot steps . He looks so much like him I bet he Is just like him .
May God Rest His Soul and all the souls of the faithful departed .....

Tim's personality made following politics bearable. Everyone felt they knew him which is why it makes losing him feel so bad. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. God Bless.

Tim was such a great newsman and an incredibly skilled interviewer. His talents were rare and they will be greatly missed. He was also such a big booster of Buffalo and Western New York. There are really very few people that spoke so fondly of this area, and to lose one of them just casts a bigger cloud over us.
