Dominique Duane Whipple

Dominique Whipple, age 18, of Santee, NE, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Oyate Oyanke Community Center, Santee, NE with Rev. James Pearson officiating. Burial will be in the Episcopal Cemetery, Santee, NE. Visitations will begin Thursday evening and continue until service time with prayer service Thursday and Friday evening at 7:00 PM. The Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton, SD is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Rodney Thomas Jr., Milton Denny, Daryl Denny, Eugene Saul Jr., Raymond Thomas, Jarron Redowl, Jesse Medina and Troy Saunsoci. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Henry, Sonny Redowl, Leona Saul, Floyd Johnson, Chris Handboy, Logan Thomas, and all his friends.

Dominique Duane Whipple was born on April 9th, 1990 to Duane Whipple and Regina Denny. Dominique loved his family and friends. He had a strong heart for everyone he loved. He loved writing songs, playing golf, and laughing and joking with his dad. He had a lot of respect from his friends because he was so big hearted and had the gift of making people laugh. You won't be forgotten Dom, you touched everyone's heart you knew and now you can walk in Heaven's meadows with your mom and relatives waiting for you.

He was preceded in death by his mother Regina Denny, grandmother Gloria Thomas, grandfather Duane Whipple Sr., great-grandmother Bernice Moose, and cousin Duane (DJ) Moose.

He is survived by his father Duane Whipple Jr., stepmother Hannah Whipple, grandfather Ike Denny, aunt Candice Whipple, Patricia (Patty) Becerra, Angela Salas, Tashina Denny, Steph Moose, Stacy Moose, Jacinta (Sissy) Denny, Rochelle Thomas, uncle Donnie Whipple, Bobby Whipple, Steve Moose, Joe Moose, Alonzo Denny, Larry Denny Jr., Henry Denny.
