I knew Randy when he was at the University of Virginia. I recall him as a very kind, approachable, and friendly person, who always had a smile on his face. I will never forget the time when my young daughter and I unexpectedly ran into him at the airport, and we sat together and talked while waiting for our planes. Randy was single and did not have kids, and yet he had the most amazing way with interacting with my daughter. She was very young and energetic, and was literally climbing all over him. Not only did he not seem to mind, but he was full of smiles and laughter, and made her feel very happy and special. Even then, one could see that he would be a fantastic dad some day. I was very saddened to learn that Randy has passed away. I am also very honored to have known one of the truly great men in this world, who has enriched so many lives, and has left behind such an amazing and inspiring legacy. I was both smiling and crying when I watched his Last Lecture on YouTube. My warmest wishes and deepest smypathy to his family. God bless you all.

I remember seeing his last lecture on line and it moved me to tears. As tragic as all this may be, due to man's imperfection, Randy will be back in the resurrection as the Bible promises Acts 24 v 15, and his future can be forever in a perfect world. For those who were close to him....what a privilege to have had him in your life! My thoughts are with you.

Jai and family, Each day thinking of you and what you are going through. May God be with you and hold you in the palm of His hand.

Dear Jai, Dylan, Logan and Chloe: Though I never had the chance to meet Randy, I feel as though we were close friends. It is rather odd but I have cried for a person I never met and for each one of you. I checked his updates almost every day. Jai, as hard as it is... Randy has left you three beautiful and wonderful reasons to continue getting up each morning. Dylan, Logan and Chloe, your daddy faught a great fight for you, so that he could be with you all as long as he did. But the fact that he now is with his father in heaven proves that God needed him more in heaven than on this earth. Except for his family, basically his job here was done. I may add well done job. I'm certain that he is now watching over all of you. His love for you had no end. I will keep you in my prayers. St.Croix, US Virgin Islands
