Death of a loved one is one of the most difficult feats we the living have to confront. Jai, you will never forget him, but the pain does get a little easier to deal with as time goes on. You have three beautiful children to care for...and a husband, whose legacy will continue to live on. He left so many wonderful memories and helped many to find inspiration in their own lives. How wonderful an accomplishment to share with mankind. May you and your family find peace in the days to come. May God Bless.

Dear Jai, May you, Dylan, Logan and Chloe cherish all the magical moments you shared with Randy. I know you'll always remember his abiding love for each and every one of you. We witnessed it in all the videos and when he spoke about you. What a legacy he has left for you, his family, and for us (friends and strangers)!! Until you and we meet with him again ... keep living, enjoy every moment and achieve your dreams as he would say. I've included a poem that has a lot of meaning for me and I hope you as well. I believe this poem describes Randy's desire to explore the unknown, to prepare us what to expect, and to let us know how to challenge those brick walls along the way. He is Just Away "I cannot say, and I will not say That he is dead ~ He is just away! With a cheery smile, and a wave of the hand, He has wandered into an unknown land, And left us dreaming how very fair It needs must be, since he lingers there; And you ~ O you, who the wildest yearn For the old-time step and the glad return, Think of him faring on, as dear In the love of there as the love of here; Think of him as the same, I say; He is not dead ~ He is just away!" With gratitude for letting Randy share his and your lives with us, Barb

Jai, I have just read your husband's book in one sitting. As I wipe away my tears, I am grateful that God gave us the gift of Randy, if even for far too few years. I never met him, but his sage wisdom, wit and honesty will stay in my heart for always. I am a changed woman from watching his lecture and reading his book. People like Randy are far and few between, and how blessed you were to have found each other. I pray for you and your three beautiful children every night, as I know these are your darkest days. May you take comfort in knowing you were as beloved as any wife I've ever known. Thank you for sharing your incredible family with us these past months- what a gift. Godspeed.

Dear Jai and family ~ your husband and father has touched so many people in so many ways. What a beautiful outlook on life - you can either be a tigger or an eyeore. I will strive to be that tigger that Randy spoke of. His message is an inspiration to me - my prayers go out to Jai and the children in this trying time.

Jai, Dylan, Logan, and Chloe, Thank you for sharing your husband and father with us during such a difficult time. Even though I never met him, I feel like I have lost my best friend. He was such an inspiration to myself and millions of others. He truly was a gift from God. May he rest in peace. He may be gone but never will he be forgotten. God bless you and your family.

Like so many more here I did not know Randy but he made an impact on my life. I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer Aug. 13, 2007. I now have a more positive attitude than I had thanks to Randy. My prayers go out to his wife Jai and the children. May God bless you and protect you always.

Randy Pausch's Last Lecture had a profound effect on my life and attitude. I have been trying to enjoy and have fun with my daughter every day. I have been trying to appreciate my many gifts in life and not get bogged down by problems. He made a true difference and I will always remember him and his words.
