Just hearing about his faith makes you keep the "Faith"...so young and so sad for his family.

I had tears in my eyes and I never even met him. That's how powerful a speaker he was. He is gone but his words will live with us forever

First, my heart and prayers goes out to the Pausch family. I haven't heard of Randy until I read an article on his passing. Since then, I've done all my research to learn about his incredible life. I also purchased his "Last Lecture" book and finished it. Randy has truly inspired me to achieve my dreams and become a better person. I am truly saddened by his passing as he was an extraordinary person whom was a role model for all.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Randy Pausch. Although I did not know him personally, he was an inspiration to me through his book and the way he lived his life. What a tragic loss of this treasure of a man. I aspire to have his optimistic attitude towards life, no matter what the situation presents. My sympathy to Jai and his children. Thank you for sharing him and his message with the world. His legacy will live on through his teachings.

I am a reader, and had heard of the book 'The Last Lecture', but had not read it. On Friday, when I read of Randy Pausch's death and the story of his life, I immediately went to a bookstore for the book. I sat and read for an hour, and cried throughout. Then I watched the lecture online. I not only bought the book for myself, but also for my father, and read a large part of it to my boyfriend Friday evening. I am sincerely moved and inspired by Randy, and only hope that his story will help inspire others to lead happy, fulfilling lives. I send my condolences to the family at this hard time. But if these kids are anything like their Dad, they are going to be OK. You are all in my thoughts.

It was with a great deal of sadness that I learned of Randy's passing. He was an inspiration to all of us and he will be greatly missed. My wife was going through life threatening cancer when Randy's "last lecture" came out and it helped all of us to reflect on "whats really important in life and to not wait to live out your dreams". Through his life and most certainly through the Last Lecture, Randy has left his wife and children a great legacy. How many of us can say that!! You will be missed Randy. I applaud your courage to share your life with the world in the face of your passing.

I never leave messages on line, so this is a first. Randy was also a first, last and only and when a bright light like his goes out, the earth is a sadder and dimmer place. I believe, however, partially as a result of his inspirational talks and examples, more lights will shine. Even though he never met any members of my family or friends, we have all been inspired by his actions and words. My heartfelt condolences to Jai and his children.
