Fr. Riehle was the rector of Pangborn Hall where I lived. His Masses were short and to the point. Often times, Saturday afternoon Mass happened during halftime of an important sporting event. These Masses were known as the Pangborn Express.
I remember one parent leaving Mass, saying, "It was 20 minutes. He had a homily and he was good." That was Fr. Riehle.
I also have great memories of seeing him on the golf course and walking down the hall at Pangborn smoking his cigar. often, you could smell him before you heard him.
