I am not a member, in fact I live in Atlanta Georgia. I read this entire link for Rev. Winters and was so moved and sad at the same time. I dont understand such as this. I didnt even know your pastor but my heart just felt hollow after reading this. Please yall stay strong for your beloved Pastor. Continue to live as he was teaching you by the word as he knew it.

Much love to his wife and children and the congregation.

I just want to wish the church and your community the best of luck in the days forward. I also wanted to let the church and Rev. Freds family know that my prayers are with him and the church. I pray that the church will move forward as one church and remember the great things in life that the lord has given to us. God Bless Everyone Joey Miller

We had just finished our church service when we heard about this shooting. He lived for Jesus Christ and others. May many come to know this Jesus because of this tragedy. May God bless and take care of the family and congregation. Keep trusting God! Our pastor, Kevin Hamm was also 45 on January 09 of this year.

My sincere condolences to Rev. Fred's family, friends, and to his congregation. I'm most certain that he will be missed. But as you grieve, remember this. What better way for a Pastor to go than to be Preaching THE WORD one moment and then to be with THE WORD the next moment.

May God continue to bless you and bring you comfort, peace and understanding.

There are many horrible stories in the world but I have to say, this one really touched my heart. Just looking at Pastor Fred Winters picture, one could tell that he was a good person. My thoughts & prayers go out to his family & members of the congregation. How awful that we can't even feel SAFE in God's home anymore. Margie~
