I was shocked to learn of the passing of our dearly beloved, Vernon. He was my pastor at the First Baptist Church in Fairmont, NC for several years. The world will truely miss this great man of God. To Mrs. King and the girls, be strong in the Lord and know that the NEW LIFE Pastor would sing about has begun and now he enjoys the JOY of the Lord. One of his favorite songs as I remember was "I still Got Joy".....so you three remember that for him to be absent from us in the body is to be present with the Lord!!!! The Hand of God touched him, and now he sleeps....Always, Sister Vann

To Mrs. King and the girls I was very sad to hear the sad news of Dr. Vernon King. I first met Dr. King when he spoke for the Danville Chapter SCLC Banquet, it was a delight to spend time with a man who had a warm spirit and who was very humble. The President of the SCLC Danville Chapter Rev. Dr. William A. Keen send his prayers to you and your family.

To Mrs. King and the Girls, I truly know that God is your source, and remember that God has the final say in this entire process. Let the peace of God and the Grace of God lead and guide you.

Sister King,

I am so much stronger in my faith life because of the preaching, teaching and friendship of our beloved Pastor, Rev. Vernon C. King. My life is forever changed because of how he represented Christ in his everyday walk. What a blessing he was to everyone he came in contact with. I will truly miss my friend, Pastor King. But I know if I live the life he preached about I will see him again. I will keep you, Ms. Naomi, Victoria, Venus and the family in prayer. I love you.

Robin, Venus and Victoria,

We share in your loss and your pain. We pray that God will comfort and keep you in perfect peace. As you remember the Love each of you had for Vernon, as as you mourn the loss, may you also celebrate a well lived life.

You are continually in our prayers.
