I have just returned from Ireland and learned of Mr. Jacobs passing. He was a great man and will be missed by all. Cleveland is a better place due to the entire Jacob's family. It has been an incredible privilege to have known him and served him during his illness. God bless you all and all of your life's endeavors.
Sincerely,
Pat Ginley & family

As a tribe fan, I didn't know Mr. Jacobs personally, but I am eternally grateful for all that he did for the city. In the 80's, he invested in a bad team and ended up revitalizing the city of Cleveland less then a decade later. His work is appreciated by all. My condolences to the family.

God bless your family . . . may all the prayers and support be with you during your loss.

Mr. Jacobs helped restore civic pride in our challenged, yet beloved town. His hard work and acumen setup a classic Cleveland setting where thousands of visitors share priceless memories . . . with their families, their friends, their coworkers, their team.

Without Mr. Jacobs these memories don't exist.

So, thanks for the memories Mr. Jacobs. You're a hero.

I am so sorry for your loss of such an amazing person. I wish I had personally known him but as an avid Cleveland Indians fan, I almost feel as if I did. Nobody will ever be able to do for that team what he did!
