I studied saxophone with Dan 1981-1985 at Montclair State. I learned so much from him. I was sorry to just hear that he had passed. I'm very sorry for the loss to the music world.

I was one of Mr. Trimboli's many students. I studied with him at Montclair State "College" (now University) in the late 1970s. He was a truly fine musician and a kind and patient teacher as I can personally attest. He truly made the woodwind instruments he played "sing" as if they were his own voice. When you do you will see by the discography listings what a prominent musician he was. My sincere condolences to his family and also my sincere thanks for sharing him with so many others.

I, too am deeply saddened by the passing of my former teacher, Mr Dan Trimboli. I studied with Dan in the 1970's and 1980's and thank God I did because it was he who understood my interest in being a woodwind doubler. It was he who had the insight and ability to analyze my status as a clarinet major who was also a self taught sax and flute player in need of help! It was he who started me over from the beginning on these instruments and showed me how to practice and perform them the correct way. I am forever grateful that he stressed teaching me that you play a flute like a flute, a sax like a sax, a clarinet like a clarinet, a difference in all! I will always remember Dan Trimboli's love for teaching his private lessons, and how he faithfully scheduled me and spent extra time with me in the middle of his busy performing schedule!
My deepest condolences to Mrs Jane Trimboli and to Dan Trimboli's entire family. May God Bless you in this time of sadness and know that he is "practicing and performing" in a better place today!

Dear Aunt Jane, Andy, Nancy and family
Our deepest condolences for the passing of Uncle Dan. One of our fondest memories is in the 80's when we visited your Hampston place and he was such a gracious host. He took us to the beach, in town to see the shops, he cooked for us and truly enjoyed family. Many times Danny was in the saxophone section. I must say I took great pride in telling my students that Danny Tremboli was my teacher and friend.

Seeing Danny in and out of the hospital was sad and now that Danny has reached his final cadence he is at peace. To Jane and the family
