I remember Dr. Friedman so very fondly. I worked for him as a part-time office assistant during the academic year 1967-68, when he was first setting up the behavioral dentistry dept. @ USC. He was unfailingly kind & patient, not only in working with patients who were deathly afraid of opening their mouths to dentists, but also in cajoling reluctant student dentists who saw no need for a class in how to be a caring, supportive dentist. He had a wonderful sense of humor & was beloved by his fellow professionals. He didn't seem to mind going from his beautiful home in Beverly Hills to a grubby basement office @ USC. Dr. Nate was superb on so many levels. We were truly blessed to have him on the planet for so many years.
