To John's family:
I knew John in KC in 1964. We used to go to a coffee house, the Vanguard, they had live folk music Friday and Saturday, jazz on Sunday night. I was one of the youngest in the group. John used to look out for me. I called him my body guard.
One night he said he was going to LA to be in the movies, and that's exactly what he did. I enjoyed watching him through the years, I'm very proud to have known him. I'm so sorry for your loss, I have missed him, that's why I googled him. He had a heart as big as the whole out doors.
