I had the privilege of working with Mr. Cossette at the 1990 Grammy Awards. I was chosen as the Grammy Girl that year and was so proud to be a part of it! He was very gracious to me, a really nice man. He will surely be missed.

I'm 37 now... I met him at his home in Malibu when I was 16 and dating my first love, his son; Andrew Cossette. He didn't anticipate any company. We were introduced by Drew, when Pierre came moseying down the stairs after a nap. He was so cute. He wore only pale yellow boxer shorts, and his hair had that Foster Freeze look! He was so warm and gracious, even shock my hand and offered me a beverage (while making sure everything was staying in its place...if you catch my drift!)I'm so sorry for your loss Andrew, and of course John and Mary. Pierre is a great loss to us all! I've missed him after all these years, now I'm sorry I never got a chance to give him a hug and say goodbye...and thank you. Pierre... Thank you for being...
Love, Andrea

Pierre! Well Pierre was the funniest client I ever had, and as my brother-in-law he is hugely sadly missed. Those lips, Pierre always came at you wanting a big smooch and a fab hug to go with it. There will never be another Pierre, that's a miserable thought; the kindness, wit, his intelligence, deep spirituality, and his laughter ... i wish sooner had been much later.

Pierre, your songs, your jokes and your laughter ring in my ears when I think of you. You blessed the world, sharing your joy and laughter with whomever crossed your path. Thank you for being you, special you.
Namaste. You are missed. Love to all your family. Brenda

I too have a fond memory of "the old shoe". Mary's youngest daughter Josie, and my daughter Gina, were fast friends from the first grade on. I recall that Pierre called Mary "5" for the number of her children. I also recall an evening at their Carbon Beach house when he told the story of how he bought her 5 pairs of shoes, then later affectionately told her that his love and their life "fit like an old shoe". What an inspirational love affair. Adults loving their gifts in life. His huge wide smile will be tremendously missed. They both welcomed all into their home.

My my goodness, there are so many, it's hard to choose just one. Pierre and Mary came to Santa Monica Hospital with a bottle of champagne and a basket of goodies the night before my son Jonathan was born, on August 6, 1983. I had called them earlier to say that I was watching the Letterman show and it seemed it would be an easy birth. Not so! When Mary and Pierre arrived I was in agony and shouted obscenities at all and sundry! So embarrassing. However, they were there shortly after Jonathan finally arrived by C-section. I've looked at Jonathan's baby book. In it, Pierre wrote, "Oh my God, he looks just like Browning!" -- meaning Phillip, my husband and a VP with Cossette Productions. Pierre and Mary: I can't imagine one without the other. Mary was incensed when Pierre once referred to her as "fitting like an old shoe" but it was the sweetest compliment, and she soon realized that. I can't come to grips with the fact that he's gone, that I'll never hear his infectious laughter or be given the 'Pierre Bear Hug' again. It's the end of an era and I grieve for everyone's loss. What a wonderful and generous soul. God blessed us all when he sent us Pierre Cossette. Love and tears ~ June Browning
