I attended a fund raising event in Whitefish, Mt a few years ago at the home of Jack's son John. When John told me his father would be there I reluctantly asked him if Mr. Kramer would autograph my "Jack Kramer" Wilson racquet. He convinced me he would. When I arrived at the event I left the racquet in the car so I wouldn't appear too bold. When I met Mr Kramer I found him to be very genuine and not intimidating at all. I sheepishly asked him if he would autograph the racquet I had in the car. He immediately told me to bring it in and he would do so. I was enthralled during the next hour as he explained to me how the racquet was made, how many were made, and the story regarding his endorsement. I have the autographed "Autograph" in a special place in my den. What a great player and a true gentleman. Meeting him in person was one of the most memorable moments of my life. My sympathy to John and the Kramer family.
