Mary Travers upheld every ideal of a perfect woman in my eyes growing up. I will miss her terribly and I will be eternally grateful for her passion for peace and freedom and for the love of music that always bubbled up from her lovely spirit.

It is sad to hear of the passing of Mary Travers as growing up with the group meant so much. The music lives on so we will never forget her beautiful voice. God bless and keep you.

I am sorry to hear of Mary Travers' passing. I loved Peter, Paul and Mary. Their songs remind me of my high school and college days. They always had a good message to live by. She was a treasure.

Dear Mary:
As a child I would listen to "Puff the magic Dragon", over, and over and never had enough of it, then when I was older "I'm leaving on a jet plane" came out that had a deep meaning to me,at that time. I still have all your old vinyl records, meaning that's all I have of your beautiful voice here on this realm. Believe me I still love listening to them, now feeling the lost of you,We all have lost a beautiful Light,I hope what ever you hoped "Heaven" would be that is what you found. Someone you never met but someone who felt your light(love).

My beloved brother, Bob passed away many years ago. He was an incredibly spitual and loving man. I have loved to sing since I was a toddler (I am now 50) but I was never comfortable doing so in front of anyone. Bob introduced me to the gift of music.....that music was Peter, Paul and Mary..... I have been singing and loving music since then.... My heart and prayers go out to Peter, Paul, and Marys' family during this time. Mary had such a loving spirit and generous heart. She will live on in your heart, and still be here in spirit to watch over and guide you.

I lost my father and my mother-in-law this week, and with Mary's passing, another piece of me has been taken. I grew up in the 60's and early 70's, singing PPM songs on school buses, church buses, in the car, in my head, anywhere I could. I now keep PPM CD's in my classroom for my students to listen and learn. PPM's music is my ultimate music of choice, and it has been put on pause forever. My life has been molded by the sentiments and strength of their music to work towards peace and justice. Mary Travers was courageous, her voice bold, and her heart gentle. I will miss her as I miss family.

I was so fortunate to have Peter, Paul and Mary in my life as I grew up, and even more so to see them in concert several times and meet them here in Phoenix during a meet and greet charity concert. There is now a new angel in heaven serenading those who have gone before us. Tonight there will many will "Light One Candle" in her honor.
