When he came home to his wife's house for Christmas. He would always come in the door and say " Where is Everybody? I have things to unload." He was always making me smile.

Tommy Burnett was a wonderfully talented man who loved politics. He had such a presence that when he was around, everyone paid attention. He was highly intelligent, handsome, and charming, and we are sorry to lose him at such an early age. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Tommy and I were debate teammates at Tennessee Wesleyan College. I treasure my memories of his quick mind, quicker wit, and the willingness to trade anything! I followed his career with great relish, and managed to touch base a few times over the years. He was always bigger than life, and he taught me much about the power of the spoken word and flawless logic. You'll be missed from afar.

I never met Mr. Burnett, but my mom told me a lot of stories about him when she was a child. She said that he was a great man. I wish that I had known him.

In a little community called Frankfort, in Morgan Co. When I was a child, Mr Burnett was at our home often. I never knew what a important man that he was to the people of Tennessee. He was that very nice and funny man that would come by and brighten the day. It is one of the happy memories of my childhood. He will be very missed.

I will never forget what Mr Burnett did for the Registrars of Elections, as the office was known then." In part the pay bill for us was due to this man. I will never forget him making our case for us on the house floor. He said,"don't through the babies out with the dishwater," I for one will not forget him. My sympathy goes out to his family. May God Bless you all. Anna
