I remember what a wonderful pair Lonny and Mary were. My parents were good friends of theirs as well a wonderful godparents to my sisters and me. Lonny told me stories about his time in baseball and he was the one who really got me interested in baseball and as of today I still love the game.
May he and Mary and my parents rest in peace.

My memories of Lonnie Frey are that he and his beautiful wife Mary, were my Godparents. I was baptized at the age of seven. We were members of Sacred Heart in Bellevue. My mother and father were very good friends of Lonnie and Mary. I know that my mother Dorothy and my father Don were there to greet Lonnie home.
