I wanted to write a note to the Mohn family to express my sincere sympathies on their recent loss. I was a senior executive and COO of two of the U.S. book printing plants, and I met Mr Mohn on a few occasions in Germany. The first time I saw him I went right over to him 'at the surprise of my colleagues' to express to him personally that his belief on how to run a business is how we ran the U.S. printing companies, with a strong support to Customers, Employees, Vendors the Community and Ownership. With his strong philosophy we were able to build a great business and were always very proud of our Bertelsmann ownership and his personal beliefs. I am now getting ready to open my own 25,000 sq ft state-of-the-art digital printing company and will be sure to apply his principals in the same ways again. I am proud to have met Mr Mohn and will always remember him fondly.
