Memories & Candles
Mine was the blessed privilege and pleasure of serving with Wade on the Calvary Bible College faculty back in the 1970s. One of my favorite memories concerns the occasions when Coach Schneeberger and I tried to talk him into playing center on our intramural basketball team--without success, as I recall! And one of my favorite photos is of me with Wade and our colleague Glen Goss--the six-footers towering over my 5'6".

Today is truly a sad day to hear of Wades passing. There is a flood of fond memories of the good times we enjoyed with Wade and Barbara at Good News Camp during staff training week. Wade has had a trmendous impact on my life as I know he did on many others as well. His life was too short, he'll be missed.

I am sorry to read of your father's passing. You lost both of your parents so young.
I was a student at CBC in K.C. in 1966-71. I toured the south with your dad and several other students teachers in May 1971.
Your dad was such a big kid. He ended up loosing his glasses in the Atlantic Ocean one afternoon. Sunday service at a local church proved to be a bit of a challenge for Dr.Gladin. If I remember

Dr. Gladin was one of my favorite teachers. He taught Childrens Literature to me 23 years ago. He was a blessing and an asset to BJU.

When you influence and are loved by three generations in a family you must be an exceptional person. Dr. Gladin was well named. He brought gladness and happiness into our lives. He will be missed and his family will continue to be loved by us. Good night, beloved brother for now. But we await the morning with you.

I am so thankful for the ministry Dr Gladin had at BJU. He was one of my favorite professors. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

Dear Family and Friends,
Dr. Gladin was always cheerful and often sat with us at meals in the family room. We want to offer our sympathy and prayers for the family and friends. He will be missed. May you find comfort in knowing that he is with the Lord.

When I read about Wade's "homegoing" in the Kansas City Star, I thought about all the educators "Dr. Gladin" has influenced over the past 50 years and the great blessing he was to Calvary Bible College during his service to the Lord in Kansas City. May God's Grace comfort you until we are "caught up together with [wade] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air" (1 Thess. 4:17).

I was deeply saddened to hear of Mr. G's death. He had great influence on my life, my teaching, and my marriage. He truly was a remarkable educator and person; a man of great grace that knew how to show that grace to those he taught. He sent me encouragement often as I went to through cancer treatment.
Richard and Sharon, I am praying that you will experience great comfort and peace. What a wonderful dad you had!
