I am so sorry for your loss. I admired Derrick as he fought his battle with such courage. He was an inspiration for many in the Cardinal Newman community. We were all so proud when he graduated. He will be greatly missed. God Bless you.

Dear Derrick, I saw you this summer and seeing you able to walk made me feel good. You fought so hard! I know you are in a better place now! Can you do me a favor and tell my mommy I said hi!
Thanks,

Derrick, my nephew, whom I loved dearly, you will be sorely missed. I am very thankful for the time you were in my life and the joy you brought. Although, you are no longer here, your memories will live on in my heart and I know you are in a better place with no more suffering. Peace, your Aunt Val.
