We have been fans of dear AL since first heard him sing 'Here in my heart' in 1952. My wife Olive's father Sid liked the song so much that he went out and bought it and a record player to play it on. We have seen AL in concert several times over the years,the most recent in London at The Shaw Theatre. We met him after the show and Olive had a photo taken with him while he was signing our programme and CD.We told
him that we danced to 'To please my lady'
at our Golden Wedding party. He remarked ...
'Nice song,but very old'. It's one of our favourites. AL was a true legend and one of the finest voices in the music world.We are grateful that we shared time on this planet
with him. He was a lovely man and a great entertainer. God bless him. Thanks for your music Al Martind. R.I.P.
