Jasper, from everything I've heard about you,...you sounded like a person we all should have had a chance to get to know. You were taken way to soon, but your light was so bright that it will definitely shine on in the hearts of those who were touched with your presence...forever. May you Rest in Peace and be an angel on your friends & family's shoulders & watch over them all.

So sorry to hear that Jasper Howard had died. Unforeseen occurrences can happen to any one of us, as the good book says at Ecclesiastes 9:11 and man has dominated man to his injury, Ecclesiastes 8:9 But the good book talks about the resurrection at John 5:28,29 and what will happen after that Psalms 37:29 and Psalms 37:11 I hope to meet Jasper, after the resurrection.

Someone wrote that they don't believe this death of the young man is Gods Will! Number one whatever your believe is at this time won't bring him back! Its Gods Will in everything that we do! We have choices but without the Will Of God we have nothing! God work through tragedies! Through this lost something good will happen! You have to have the faith & beliefs that Gods / Thy Will Be Done! Man doesn't have the power over Gods Will! I didn't know this young man or watched any of the college games; but it hits hard when a young soul is lost in such a way! I feel for the family (loved ones) left to try in pick up the pieces from this lost! Know that take your pain, grief & hurt to the Lord! No its not going to be alright for you right know but seeking Gods help will give you ease for the pain & suffering! Take it to God! As far as the person that did this! God Will take care of him too! Family grief for right now but your joy will come back tomorrow! May not be the same joy but you'll learn to get by! Keep God with you at all times! The Belief in knowing he's always besides you! RIP young man, only God Knows The Reason Why!

To the family, friends, coaches, and players at Uconn. who knew and loved Jasper Howard you are in my thoughts and prayers. God never gives us more than we can handle. It is not up to us to question why but rather accept that God has with him one of the best college football players to ever play the game. Hold your heads high and smile that you knew him. God is caring for him now.

I offer my condolences to the family, friends, team players and everyone who loved this young man. Just viewing yahoo yesterday I saw the story and continued to inquiry. After reading all the details I'm outraged that a young man with so much potential lost his life over nothing. Nothing! Justifies the lost, pain and suffering of this young man. I don't believe everything is God's will. Even though nothing can bring this powerful player back things must change. People should think before they act. I'm sad about the news on ESPN. Why can't we let young men grow up to live out the full potential of life. This is wrong! No mother or father should have to bury the children they bring into the world. I'm tired of hearing the stories. Now, Mr. Howard is that young man people want their kids to grow up to be. I think he has shown how far you can go if you stay in the race. Although, I never met you Mr. Howard I'm proud of you. People will be inspired by your great legacy at a young age. You would have made it to the NFL. My heart goes out to the family. In our community I'm digusted. Mr. Howard beat all the odds of being a statistic and trouble comes. This should have never happened. The pain is unbearable when reading the stories. Stories are real. Someone's son will never come home again or throw that infamous football. People we got to do better. Young isn't an excuse for ignorance. Yes, no matter what you think, pulling out a knife has terrible endings. What were the individuals thinking? It's nothing, no one can say to ease the hearts and pain of the family. All we can do is try to understand the senseless ignorance. I'm tired of crimes. The belief in the Lord Jesus will get the family, community, coach and teammates through but enough is enough. I'm deeply sad because all that has occured. If someone reads this and don't understand just ask why? What if it was my son, nephew, cousin, team player, student who's not coming back. The reality is factual. Wake up! Everyone can stop crime. Every nationality must do alot more. Today it's Mr. Howard, how many more young people? We don't have to live life this way or impose hurt or pain on anyone. Enough is Enough!
