He was a very funny man and I watched his show every day when I was younger. He will be missed terribly.

As a child growing up in the 60's in Brooklyn, Soupy was THE MAN. No one was funnier, no one was cooler. I had occasion to meet Soupy back in the early 80's back stage at one of his shows and he was exactly as I'd hoped he'd be. The stories he shared that night were funnier than anything he could say on stage. Rest in Peace funny man - and when you get settled in please let me know where to send the green paper with the pictures of the men with beards.

My condolences to the family of Soupy Sales. How can I forget all the fun and silly laughs I had as a child watching you on TV. Taking those pies to the face was the funniest. Thank you for making my childhood memorial. I pray for your family that God will give them strength and comfort. Rest in the arms of Jesus now Soupy.

Soupy was a big part of my growing up and created so many laughs and great memories. I followed his career into adulthood and am deeply saddened by his passing away. Soupy, you were the best and may you know how many hearts you affected while you were here. May you rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear of Soupy's passing, but take courage, for the ressurection promise, as the good book tells us, at John 5: 28,29. And then the good people will live on the earth forever. Psalms 37:29 and Psalms 37:11 I look forward for that day.

I had the honor and pleasure of knowing Soupy since 1990.I was working for Northwest Airlines in Detroit, and I would meet him for dinner when Soupy would fly in and out from New York for local appearances. He was a delightful man,who cared for everyone he met,and adored his wife and family.I will truly miss him as a friend.God's speed Soup,JC
