I first became aware of Soupy back in the late 70s watching the new Soupy Sales show on tv 20 WXON in Detroit. I was a big fan right there on the spot. When he was doing the Moldy Oldies show it inspired me to go into radio. I miss him and the radio isn't the same without his presence. God bless ya Soupy! One more thing, Soupy had a great line " Last night I had a dream I was a muffler and I woke up this morning exhausted"-Soupy Sales 1986 quote from the Moldy Oldies show. Great stuff!!

Back in the early 1980's, Soupy, myself, & some of my comedian friends from Los Angeles did a pilot quiz show for TV called, "The Jokes' on Us" in Toronto, Canada. I remember riding in the Limousine with Soupy to the studio, & thinking what an utterly charming & delightful guy!!!!!!!!

He was a very funny man and I watched his show every day when I was younger. He will be missed terribly.

As a child growing up in the 60's in Brooklyn, Soupy was THE MAN. No one was funnier, no one was cooler. I had occasion to meet Soupy back in the early 80's back stage at one of his shows and he was exactly as I'd hoped he'd be. The stories he shared that night were funnier than anything he could say on stage. Rest in Peace funny man - and when you get settled in please let me know where to send the green paper with the pictures of the men with beards.

My condolences to the family of Soupy Sales. How can I forget all the fun and silly laughs I had as a child watching you on TV. Taking those pies to the face was the funniest. Thank you for making my childhood memorial. I pray for your family that God will give them strength and comfort. Rest in the arms of Jesus now Soupy.

Soupy was a big part of my growing up and created so many laughs and great memories. I followed his career into adulthood and am deeply saddened by his passing away. Soupy, you were the best and may you know how many hearts you affected while you were here. May you rest in peace.
