Dear Joyce, The Olson family were all very saddened by the news of Chuck's passing. He was such a great guy, a terrific father and a wonderful friend. We have very fond memories of our time at Clark together with the Batson's. We send you and your family our sincere condolences and best wishes. Fred Olson & family

When I was 5 years old, my family moved to Clark Air Force Base in 1967. I have such nice memories of our good-natured, next door neighbor, Mr. Batson, his sweet wife, Joyce, and their kids. The whole Batson family, even their dog, Penny, were so welcoming of the new neighbors. I am wishing Mr. Batson a carefree and joyful journey. My sincerest sympathies to the entire Batson family.

Joyce - Chuck was truly one of the good guys and I was privileged to work for him overseas and in DC. As my first supervisor, he was an excellent motivator and I considered myself lucky to have him for a boss. He was honest, compassionate, generous, hard-working, loyal, and Chuck had a good sense of humor and he was never mean spirited. Gloria and I ask Gods comfort on you and his family in your time of sorrow.

Joyce & family: So sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. The good times we had in Nico, Clark, London and the U.S. will never be forgotten. He was a good co-worker and friend. The one thing that will always stick in my mind about Chuck is that he put his family first. All the best and God Bless.

Joyce and family, so sorry to hear of Chuck's passing away. I served with him in Brandy in the early 70's and we spent many after hours drinking some beer and shooting pool. A real nice person and an honor to work with him. God rest his soul.

As a former co-worker, please accept my sympathy to each of you in Chuck's family. He was always held in high regard by those of us who had the pleasure of working with him. God bless you all.
