Dedra was my neighbor and we grew up as family. She's ever present in my childhood memories and photos. She showed strength and character throughout her battle with cancer. She was very courageous and her faith was inspirational for many. Yes, she's physically gone but will remain in our hearts forever. My heart goes out to her son whom she loved deeply and her devoted family. I feel blessed to have had Dedra in my life.

I've known Dedra my entire life, growing up together and although time and life took us in different directions, God deemed it a blessing that in the past several years we would run into each other frequently while out shopping. I know of no one with a more contagious personality and positive outlook. My prayers and warm thoughts go out to her family especially her son Cory who must carry on without her, but will do her proud in all

God sends us many gifts, but every once and awhile, He sends us a truly special one. That's what Dedra was--a rare and special gift from God. I feel blessed to have known her and even more blessed to have been her friend. She was a courageous and strong lady. Her quiet, simple faith in God was awe inspiring. Her laughter and her smile were contagious. Corey, everyone is spot on—the light in her eyes just danced whenever she talked about you. Please know that you and your family will be ever in my prayers.

Dedra touched so many lives with her generosity and beautiful spirit. She was always willing to listen, no matter how much work she had on her desk or whatever crisis she was trying to resolve. She will be greatly missed but Heaven has received another angel to watch over all of us. Cory and Cheryl, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Gene, Wanda, Cheryl, Cory and all Dedra’s family and close friends. There is an empty hole left in our hearts right now, but there are so many cherished memories of your lovely daughter, sister, and mother pouring in from others to make your hearts full, even though the hole is there. The hole will be there until you see her again, but it will ache less with the strength we have from our loving Lord and Savior, and those working

My heartfelt sympathy goes towards Dedras' family and close friends. I never had the opportunity to get to know her personally, but I'm sure that we would've become friends.
