Very sorry to hear of Dick's death, I did miss him at the 50th HS reunion in October when we visited Antelope Valley. We started out together in school at Rogers School on the westside, then the next year we went to the Westside Union School (Now Del Sur) until about 1952 when we moved from the ranch (which was 12.5 miles west on Avenue I) to Lancaster, and only saw him later in High School (AVJUHS). We started out together in school at Rogers School on the westside, then the next year we went to the Westside Union School (Now Del Sur) until about 1952 when we moved from the ranch (which was 12.5 miles west on Avenue I) to Lancaster, and only saw him later in High School (AVJUHS). We played around quite a bit when I lived on the westside, always remember his father and the store and Ave I where I cashed in all my pop bottles when my Grandmother Grace and I went to town or the Johnson's store. I will miss him, sure wanted to say hello to him last month. I did not realize he lived all his life in AV...
