For all those that don't know me I am one chucks grandsons

Before I share with you guys some stories about me and my papa, I want to take second to thank my granny along with the grace of god for keeping my papa here for as long as she could, because I know for a fact that she was my papa back bone

Before I share with you guys some stories about me and my papa, I want to take second to thank my granny along with the grace of god for keeping my papa here for as long as she could, because I know for a fact that she was my papa back bone

Dear Papa,
Papa you treated me not as a grandson but as your son.  Out of the men in my life you taught me to be a man the most while i was little. You taught me the man's hand shake, also how to tuck my shirt inside my pants. . I remember when i grauduated from kindergarden ,how proud you were of me. I remeber when granny would cook rice and dinner rols in the morning and you would be already at the table reading your news paper and would wait til I got there to start eating but before we ate, you and granny would always make sure i said "jesus weap"
 
When i was around you i always felt protected as though you were my superhero.  I remeber when there was a hole in grandma muh's roof, and you let me get up on the roof with you to help you and i ended up making a wrong step and almost feel throught the hole, but you ended up catching me.  I still remeber when you had the brown and tan van and we were headed back to dallas from palestine and there was a tornado in the surrounding area of which we were headed, and at the time i knew tornados were bad, but they wasn't as bad as my papa. I knew if that tornado was going to harm me in any kind of way, my papa would get angry and that tornado would turn around and run away like a little puppy, and from that moment on i knew my papa was my superhero.
 
 But on the other hand you always kept my behind in line. I remeber when i was in the 2nd grade and I was acting up at school and my mama called you and granny to let them know what had happend and also because my mama couldn't keep taking off from work because of me. But within about 30 minutes you came up there to my school in that orang little pick-up truck of you and got out with your switch your hand. You scared me to death because i thought i was gone get my little butt tore up, but you loved me to much to whoop me in front of those kids, but as soon as we got home, it was World War 2 all over the house.
 
Thanks Papa for being a father, a grandfather, a drill sergeant, and a superhero.  Thanks for raising such an incredible daughter to be my mother.  But for most of all, thanks for just being you.  I know that you are right there in heaven, still watching me, still watching over me and expecting me to do the right thing  and make the right decision and last but not least waiting for me to say Jesus wept.

Nadine, we will miss Chuck so much and want you to know how much we love the both of you. The many things he used to say will always bring smiles upon our faces as we think about him. Keep trusting and depending on God and He will bring you through the lonely hours and remind you of the wonderful times you shared together.
