Betty, Girls and JD, So sorry to hear of your loss. Many fond high school memories include being at the Powers' house and John teasing his girls making those visits always fun. Great memories help get those who've lost through difficult times. God Bless!

To the Powers Family, May each of you find comfort in knowing that God is "near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." (Psalm 34;18) He has promised to soon "swallow up death forever...and wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25;8)

I was shocked and saddened by the lost of John. I always thought of John as my second dad and your family as my second family. I remember all the fun times we had going to ballgames, riding the bus, attending church functions and watching scarey movies with John. John always had a big smile and plesant comment when I got on the bus in the morning. May God bring peace and love over your family at this difficult time.

To the Powers Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. John was my bus driver and I have many fond memories of riding the bus. He always had a smile and interesting comments to match. He was a kind and gentle person and will be sadly missed. Our loss is Heaven's gain. May God bless you with peace and strength at this time.
