Dean was one of the first people to make me feel welcome to Greenwood. He was a fine man and will be sadly missed. Our condolences to the family.

Helen and family, Dean and I reported aboard the USS Lofberg in 1952. We served aboard in the same repair shop until discharged. We were the best of friends and had many a fun liberty. After discharge we lost contact with one another until the reunions were founded in the ninetys. I will always remember the times shared with Dean. He always had a smile on his face and could tell a great story. We are honored to have known him. We extend to you our very deepest sympathy. What a day to celebrate, Dean Goldman going home to our loving and forgiving Father!! Mary Ann, your father never met a stranger. He welcomed me to Ninety Six with a warm hug and huge smile, and I will always remember that and be thankful for it. Anyone that saw him or had the opportunity to meet him knew he was a Christian that walked the talk. What a wonderful legacy he left his family here on earth. Your father
