Memories & Candles
I had a bunny named Hefner Booth for a while. He was actually being sold on the streets of NYC in Times Square! One look from him and I knew I couldn't leave him there. I was unable to keep him as my landlord forbade it, but a coworker took him and would tell me the sweetest stories of him watching tv with her husband and his (Hefners) running to the door when ever there was food deliveries. Im Sorry for your loss
Posted by: Bill Fredricksburg - none Feb 10, 2011
Dear Bill and June, I'm so sorry to hear of Melly's passing. I know she was much loved and cherished and was very lucky to have found her way to your family. It is always amazing to me how resilient and willing to trust again these wonderful bunnies are, no matter what happened to them before. Although the time you shared with her was far too short, she finally knew what it felt like to be loved and cared for and she will be with you always.

Melly was so fortunate to have found her way to your home. A home filled with love, kindess and compassion. Melly's smile was her "thank you!"
She had the most beautiful soft white coat. I feel lucky to have felt it.
Bill & June, thank you for all that you do.
God bless, Jen.

I am sorry for your loss. Melly died having a wonderful home and finally knowing what it feels like to be loved and cared for. It is what all living creatures deserve but so many do not ever get to experience.

We are so sorry that Melly has passed. She sounds as if she was a truly wonderful, inspiring bunny.
I'm so glad that in her life she found your care and kindness.

Melly was, no doubt, in Bunny Heaven BEFORE she died. You can rest easy knowing you allowed her to experience all the love, respect, honor and cherishing she missed in her time before she came to be a Booth. Thanks for all you do for the little ones.

Melly was truly a fighter. Living in horrid conditions, having a leg caught and requiring amputation for weeks is more than most rabbits could live thru. BUT NOT OUR MELLY. SHe fought thru the suffering, she fought thru the surgery and the recovery period. Why you ask? So she could be loved and give love back before her time on earth was finished. And that she accomplished with flying colors.
She will be missed and remembered.

I'm so sorry Melly's gone; she was well loved and well cared for, which made up for her horrible beginnings.
