After listening to this men, a bomber in WW11 speak of the opening of his mind to the truths of war, I was smitten & I cried for every victim of every war conjured up by governments of the world, yet so pleased to know my ideas of war were validated by one who had been there, an educated caring historian, reader, writer & he gave me the courage to speak my anti-war opinions aloud!

A few years ago my cousin suggested I read A Peoples History. What an eye opener it was for me. Everyone should read it. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I know he will be deeply missed.

'A People's History' should be read by everyone. Whether a polemic or not, it's an important book that looks at our history through the eyes of the people that didn't get to write the accepted history books.

My condolences to Dr. Zinn's family, colleagues, friends and admirers.
