It was my pleasure to know Geri. She was a wonderful friend and I will never forget her!! Geri loved life. She told me many times that she could not stop doing her job because she had to take care of "her kids". This community not only lost a devoted officer but an angel. Geri will be truly missed by all who knew her. Till we meet again my friend...

My Dear Geri,
Although your physical body has left this earth, your spirit lives on within us. The things that folks will miss will be your beautiful smile and laughter. The CREW will always remember and cherish our Annual Jazz Festival Weekend on Catalina Island. I will not say Good bye, just so long for now.

One question: "Why they got to bring up old stuff!"

I didn't know Det. Sanders on a personal level, but recall seeing her all the time. She was so energetic and very cordial and professional all the time. She was the only Black Female Officer I recall seeing, which had me second guessing my career. I ultimately stayed where I remain today, but often wonder what it would have been like, to have possibly been under her tutelage.
My heart felt sympathy goes out to her family and nephew Blane Warrior and his family. You remain in our prayers.
